Household Support Fund Doubled

The Household Support Fund will be doubled to £1billion from April 2022. The Fund will help households with the cost of essentials such as food, clothing and utilities.

Vulnerable households can apply for cash or vouchers which are handed out by councils. However, critics of the scheme say that it can be a postcode lottery and many pensioners are unable to make claims.
