Local entrepreneur acquires New Forest Accountants to form new regional accountancy group

Local chartered accountant and entrepreneur Paul Stacey has acquired the business of Jenny Barnes & Co, a well-established New Forest based Accountancy Practise in a deal that took effect on 1st November 2020.

This latest takeover is the 2nd major purchase Stacey has made in the past 18 months, following his acquisition of Rutter & Allhusen the Shaftesbury headquartered Chartered Accountants in 2019.

“We aim to offer clients across the region a different type of Accountancy, Tax & Business Consulting service that addresses their specific issues like lack of time, lack of accounting expertise, a desire to build a business on their own terms and ensuring they retain a fair maximum return on their endeavours.”  Says Paul Stacey, Director, Hub Accountants

The new group – Hub Chartered Accountants – will be made up of Stacey’s three legacy businesses Rutter & Allhusen Ltd, Jenny Barnes & Co. Ltd, and IQ Business Consulting Ltd. It will offer Tax, Accountancy, Bookkeeping, and Business Consulting services to private clients and businesses across the whole of Dorset and the New Forest, from offices in Shaftesbury and Ringwood.

Clients will benefit from a wider spread of services and experience and economies of scale that will keep prices extremely competitive.

“Research shows that small businesses, in particular, are not well served by the accountancy profession. Too often small business owners regard their accountants as expensive, backward-looking, hard to access, and lacking the vertical sector expertise to give useful practical advice. Our services are specifically aimed at providing cost-effective real-world solutions so that business owners can get on with running their businesses.”  Commented Trevor Bristow – Head of Marketing & Business Development at Hub Accountants.
